  1. About thekkady flower show

    Thekkady Flower Show held in the month of December for the last 10 years is a grand exhibition attracting thousands of tourists. It is organized by Thekkady Agri-Horticulture Society and held at Kallarackal Ground, Kumily. Last year it was held during April 3 to April 20, 2016. With more than 200 varieties of flowers, it provides a great visual feast. Thousands of flowers including marigold, rose, dahlia, dianthus, celosia, petunia, jasmine, cosmos, poinsettia, gazina, and many more are arranged colorfully and aesthetically. A number of medicinal plants with details regarding their curing capacities are also exhibited. Other than flower show, there are several cultural and arts programs, entertainment programs, competitions, and amusement parks. Seminars and discussions are conducted on energy saving, waste control, water protection, small home based activities and several farm related issues.
