About gair dance
Gair dance is a traditional folk dance of the Bhil community, which is performed by both men and women together. In the beginning of the dance, two circles are formed with large outer circle of men and small inner circle of women. The dance progresses with clockwise and anticlockwise movements forming different patterns of the dancers, to the rhythm of the beating of the sticks and drums. Melodious folk songs and musical instruments like Dholak, Dhol, Nagada and flute accompany the dance in the background. Bhil dancers wear colorful dresses and carry sword, arrows and sticks while performing the Gair dance. Gair dance is usually performed during the celebrations of Holi and Janmashtami.

Dandi Gair dance found in Marwar region and Geendad of Shekhawati region of Rajasthan are some of the variations of Gair dance.
