  1. About bhavai dance

Bhavai dance is a folk dance form of Rajasthan in which veiled women artists balance 7 or 9 brass pitchers or earthen pots on their head and perform the dance. The highly skilled dancers sway using the soles of their feet balanced on a glass top or on the edge of a sword. While women artists perform the dance, the male performers sing beautiful traditional songs accompanied by the instruments dholak, pakhawaj, harmonium and sarangi. It is usually performed during marriage functions or celebrations.
