  1. About sandur kushala kala kendra

    Sandur Kushala Kala Kendra (SKKK) was established in 1984 to promote traditional crafts of villages to the national and international level by encouraging the crafts people, giving them training, marketing their products and compensating them for their hard work. The artisans of the unit work on embroidery, mirror work, cotton khadi spinning & weaving, cane & bamboo products, stone sculpture, wood carvings, etc. Presently, more than 500 artisans including women are engaged in the activities. In 2004, SKKK has received UNESCO Seal of Excellence for Handicrafts in South Asia for its outstanding performance and excellence in traditional handicrafts.
