About nathmalji ki haveli
Nathmalji ki Haveli was built in 1885 AD by Maharawal Berisal as the residence of the then Prime Minister of Jaisalmer. The architects were two brothers who started the construction from two sides simultaneously which resulted in a beautiful architectural marvel. The front portion has 2 storeys and the rare portion has 2 storeys, with some differences. The Haveli is built with a remarkable blend of both Islamic and Rajput style of architecture. Two huge elephants carved from yellow stone guard the entrance. Balconies and windows have intricate carvings that depict the excellent craftsmanship of the Muslim craftsmen.
