About bhadli mela
Bhadli Mela is a religious fair celebrated at Itkhori in Chatra at the premises of the temple dedicated to Goddess Kali and Lord Shiva. It is a fair of ancient times, the date and legend of which are unknown. It is celebrated annually on the auspicious day of Makar Sankranthi Day. A large number of people from Jharkhand and different parts of India come to this place to participate in the religious activities and celebrations. Bhadli Mela is held with great pomp and gaiety and is worth seeing. Apart from this festival it is a great opportunity to visit the Maa Bhadrakalii Temple constructed 12 centuries ago and also the Buddhist relics of ancient times.
