  1. About sindhu darshan festival

    Sindhu Darshan festival is held annually at Leh on the Guru Purnima (Full Moon) day in the month of June which is celebrated for three days. The purpose of the festival is to pay homage to River Sindhu which represents a symbol of unity of India. Participants from different parts of the country bring water in earthen pots from the rivers of their state and immerse in the Sindhu River. Fifty senior Lamas offer prayers on the banks of Sindhu River. Several cultural programs and sight-seeing visits are organized as a part of Sindhu Dashan festival. Thousands of people gather to participate in this unique festival.
