About baneshwar fair
Baneshwar Fair is a famous tribal festival organized at the Baneshwar Mahadev temple in Dungarpur where the majority of the participants are the Bhil tribes from Udaipur, Dungarpur and Banswara, and also from the neighbouring states of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. The festival is celebrated on Magh Shukla Purnima, the full moon day of February. In addition to religious rituals several cultural programs are held during the fair, such as folk dances, songs, animal shows, magic shows, tribal sports, religious processions, etc. Varieties of items are sold in the tribal shops.
