  1. About sheori narayan fair

    Sheori Narayan Fair is held on Magh Purnima or the Full Moon day of Magha every year, which falls in the month of February. It is celebrated at the 13th century Sheori Narayan Temple dedicated to Lord Rama, which is located at the confluence of three rivers Mahanadi, Sheonath and Jonk. The fair which reflects the rich cultural tradition of the region attracts huge crowd from different parts of the country. The premises of the temple are decorated with lights and flowers and become flooded with a number of stalls selling varieties of products of the local craftsmen and traders. Devotees visit the temple and offer prayers to Lord Rama, and they also visit the eating joints and shops. They enjoy the devotional songs, folk music and dance performances.
